Website redesign is coming [UPDATE: It’s here]

Just say no to IE

Many of you know that I maintain my own website. I’m a retired software engineer that created web applications and dad-gum-it, I should be able to keep it up to date! But my two-week redesign stretched into two months.

I did let my website get “behind” the technology. I had to upgrade to HTML5, some newer CSS and AJAX/javascript libraries. I also wanted a fluid, responsive design (for different screen sizes). I also wanted a more engaging, active design where I can better provide “extra stuff.” So… we’re finishing up the testing. Of course Internet Explorer is being a problem child again and I might just go ahead and put the new pages up, regardless of IE. I’m feeling, very much, like this website designer/developer (where I also got the cool pic).

Warning: Be prepared to hit the refresh button if things look weird. If the page still looks weird after refreshing, then tell me about the problem and what browser you’re using. I can’t fix things I don’t know about. And, if you like what you see, put a comment on the new About This Site page.

UPDATE: New design is in place. If you have a problem, please contact me and tell me which browser you’re using and what problems you’re having.

Any opinions?
